Located in the far back right of the apartment, Tara's room is small yet sweet. The queen-sized bed takes up most of the room. It's a nice centerpiece, its blue, green and white colors setting the tone of a calm and quiet area. The head and foot board are both metal while the rest of the furniture in the room are various types of wood. The side table is simple, with a blue-green lamp giving off dampened light through the shade. Next to the lamp is a regular old clock radio, used as an alarm clock more often than to listen to music from. Both lie on a cerulean doily.
In front of the bed is a small throw rug styled with different colored squares. The rug lays in front of Tara's bureau, which is a medium-sized wooden dresser with four large drawers. On the bureau's surface lies another lamp, various odds and ends, and several photos of her family and friends. Most notably is a photo of her and Napoleon at the park, caught in a sweet moment in the grass by Charlie. A photo of her mother is hidden behind all of the other frames, but it's still there.
There's a wooden chair by the windows that doesn't seem to match up with the rest of the room. Dark wood is covered by (to put it bluntly) ugly cushions that hardly cushion anything. Tara's not really sure why she still has it, but doesn't care enough to toss the thing. She mostly uses it to put her backpack or laundry on.
Ignore the door in the photo; Tara and her father live on the third floor, and there is no door there. Instead, imagine the two windows you see in the picture as being larger and placed further down and apart. As they are lined with a thick wooden sill, Tara sometimes rests her bottom there and looks out across the landscape. Her apartment is at the top of a hill, which means that she can see all across the valley of the city.
The last thing in the room to see are what hangs on the walls. There's a beautiful photo of a seahorse against some coral above her bed, and some artwork done by herself or her friends hang here and there around the room.
